i just caught a spider underneath a glass. rather than kill it, i will slide a paper underneath and take him outside. he is rather large and it is possible i'll get bit in the process, (although not probable.) |

nice its cool to watch them walk off into their new world...releasing flies caught by windows is cool. they buzz away all happy they no longer have to bang their head. |

UPDATE spider has been released. i used a gift bag which kind of bent at a point almost allowing him to escape. i caught it, however, and kept him contained until we were outside. i had to catch a mouse once in this way too. i kept seeing him run across the floor, often with a cat hot on his heels. finally he was huddled in a corner behind some furniture with the cats trying to figure out how to get him. i put the glass down in front of him and tapped him on the butt until he went in the glass, which i then tipped back upright. then again i slid some cardboard underneath and took him across the street |
