I know we're not there yet, but ideally, by being a little thrifty and if people are willing to help, if they actually want to make a film instead of doing a job, a film should hardly cost anything at all, especially since the advent of digital cameras. We'd need a pretty huge societal shift so it's a bit silly, but at least money is not an absolute necessity. Or we can just not care and drop anything that costs too much to make, because there are other, more practical way to do things. |

I saw a crappy portable b/w telly outside a junk shop today on my way in the BITING COLD to the pub at lunchtime (much like DJ Shadow as he makes his way to the studio, with the soles of his shoes flapping and his coat lined with second hand record inner sleeves) and I thought I could maybe watch on VHS tapes on it. |
