what do you think of pure data jivver?
for someone not too good with programming it probably isn't the best option..?

I'm crap at programming! I've given it a try a few times but I don't have the patience. My friend Damian makes all the stuff I'd like. Happy new year Tolst!

yeah, patience can be a pretty important factor with programming.. i don't have any either, so maybe, if i ever want to make music i should go with something more convenient.
all the best to you and your little family (maybe now not so very little anymore) too!

Go in peace my son. I didn't get The Drift the first time around. I had to have some nutcase foreign girl act it out for a few minutes doing mental eyes putting me off further to check what she was on about. They are both epic.

i think it took me about 6 months to get into the drift. someone showed it too me and i think my initial impression was 'ugh, voice sounds like opera!'. wasn't until i became unemployed that my brain had space/time to let it in and digest how fucking stunning it is. 30th century man docu helped a good bit too. WHATS UP DOC!!!?

The enigma of that bit is (apart from being panic attack inducing) is that it's Bugs Bunny that traditionally says "What's up doc?", not Donald Duck.

Confield used to be my favorite album, it's still very good, but I think draft is slightly 'fuller'.
I like drafts sounds.

yeah i seen that one a few years ago, looks stylish but i dunno if it falls into the trap of simply being a nice visualizer. it looks nice but i don't know if you'd really be using it to make tracks if you know what i mean. The relationship between the graphics and parameters isn't particularly intuitive and it seems to hide the real controls, more of a sound toy but still interesting stuff.

yeah i'd like to try it but it's for Linux only, also can't be downloaded anyway atm... dunno it looks like you're interacting with that turntabley thing using a playstation controller, might be fun...
also dunno if tiction, nodal or any of these experimental sequencers are actually used by anyone to make "real" tracks either... probably all of them are sound toys. i mean there's more than enough tools out there which are really good for producing/performing, it's just they don't look very interesting being used, especially on stage... kinda hard to find the right balance innit...
but maybe recording/producing music is not so important anymore anyways... seems most people have plenty fun in Farmville. :D
