At what time after midnight?
When does midnight 'stop' so that you can feed them?
What time zone are we talking about? There's as much
midnights as there are time zones i guess?
And even it were morning, it's still -after- midnight? So
you can't feed them ever?

??????

not feed the little blighters

I used to wonder. I guess once the sun comes out they can
eat again.

yeah but.. that means us dutch people have to feed them at
night :/

I think i figured out that in theory, midnight is exactly 12
o' clock at night, 6pm being the starting point, and 6am
being the end, then it's morning.
But other sources state that 'night' starts as soon as sun
set has finished, where the sun has dissapeared below the
horizon. So, it's a variable in the exact middle point in
time when the sun set is finished and sun rise has started,
which also shifts somewhere under a minute every day, and
every season.

*explodes*

that's why watches were invented,
to feed gremlins correctly

I originally interpreted this thread title as implying that
gremlins are so cool that you'd have no choice but to feed a
mogwai after midnight to ensure that hilarious antics ensue.
After reading the thread, I do agree that this is quite the
conundrum.

What would happen if you were to take a mogwai and toss it
into the ocean, or a big lake (presuming salt water may not
have the same effect). Mogwai overload? Pop pop pop pop pop
pop pop into infinity...

i thought about this a few times too. i reasoned that you
could feed them after midday and up untill 11:59 pm. thats
my answer

I would think that a mogwai is made up of a finite amount of
matter so each one could only produce so many gremlins
before it died/ceased to exist.

Your argument confuses me a little and so does this thread.
It's been a while but as far as I understand: Mogwai gets
wet, Mogwai multiplies, Mogwai gets fed after midnight,
Mogwai turns to Gremlin. Say, Gizmo gets wet (cant remember,
maybe it can be anything like orange juice), Gizmo
mulitplies (how many does he make in Grem 1, 4-5,6?). Say a
Mogwai can produce only a finite amound of offspring (I
don't believe it, I think it's infinte, but
regardless...)....those offpsring are also able to
reproduce, say 4-5 times. So really, if ever a Mogwai gets
near water, basically we're all fucked....that's why the
gods made them....to eventually destroy mankind

as for the time thing...it really is quite
simple....depending on where a Mogwai is born, it
automatically accustoms itself to the time Zone....they have
an extra sense for this.....their DNA holds information
about world time zones.....including daylight saving times.
after midnight ends when midday starts, as the clever fellow
pointed out, you may then feed them.

Case closed.

The gremlin directions are all fucked up. You can feed or
drinkinate (seriously... there is a word 'feed' to feed
someone but no word to drinkinate someone?) a gremlin
whenever the hell you want. You just can't fuck one
after midnight.
Still your concern about time zones and when midnight
technically ends is a valid concern.

This probably contradicts whatever the hell I wrote above
but I want to have two posts. You can feed a gremlin
whenever the hell you want. You just can't feed a
mogwai after midnight. The water affect is still an
issue after the pupae stage though. Or maybe if a gremlin
eats it again changes into a more evil and more green and
more reptilian thing. What kind of weird assholes made
gremlins two. Some managers sat around in a committee (how
most movies are made) and were like 'ok what have we got
here. ok a sequal (they only make sequals). hmm, the first
version was horror eh. well what the hell, lets make this
shit a comedy! that would blend pretty smoothly from the
first, whachaguys thing?' At this point some yes men,
shareholders and other retards all agree in stupidity and go
off to create the movie at scientology headquarters.
